New Rosin Neutral Sizing Agent

Using rosin ester as the main component and anionic synthetic polymer as emulsifier, a new rosin-based neutral sizing agent for papermaking was produced. Even if high content of calcium carbonate is used as the papermaking filler, it still has a good sizing effect at pH 7-8. A small amount of rosin-based sizing agent was separated from the pulp under the conditions of vibration stirring and pH change during neutral papermaking sizing, and this new rosin-based neutral sizing agent was confirmed by spectrophotometry in the visible light region characteristics.
